Our bedroom is the front room and overlooks the street. There is access to the balcony from the French door/window.
In fact it hides the world's smallest complete bathroom. It has a shower, sink and toilet hidden behind the doors. The shower is a bit tricky as you can easily shut off the water by moving around, but the bathroom does the job and is good for old people like me who need to get up in the middle of the night.
The second bathroom, also newly renovated, has a beautiful shower with body sprays, rain head and regular shower. As you can see the room is more generous in size. Dave tried out this shower this morning and gave his stamp of approval. This is the bathroom shared by the guest bedrooms.
Let's see if I can explain the floorplan. Remember the center entry door from the front of the house? One enters there onto a central hallway. Partway down the hallway is the entry door to our apartment. The hall continues with the guest bathroom on the left ending with the double bedroom doors on the left and the smaller twin trundle bedroom on the right. This room is also the passage to the kitchen, but has doors that can be closed on both the hallway and kitchen side for privacy.
This view from the terrace shows the three doors entering our apartment. The sliding door on the left goes into the kitchen. The center door accesses the bedroom with a twin trundle bed and the third door provides access to the third bedroom.
These are the two guest bedrooms
And finally, a view of the kitchen, complete with gas stove and oven, wash machine and sink, plenty of storage, all the dishes we could need and a table that can be enlarged to seat 6. There is a sitting area off camera with a fireplace and TV/radio supplying access to British TV.
It is here we will make our home base for the next 2 months.
