Today we're staying in the neighborhood. Our guests haven't yet been to Châteauneuf, so that's on the list. I need to make Boeuf Bourguignon and bread pudding for dinner, so my afternoon will be spent cooking while some will visit Châteauneuf and then walk home.
But first, after breakfast, most folks head out in the warmth of the sunshine to walk around Lake Panthier.

Back for lunch then off again. Ron and Chris rode with Dan and Paulette. Dave, who was sous-chef-ing for Lynn and got a ride up to Châteauneuf with Clark. Then Dave, Ron, Dan, and Chris walked back to our house from Châteauneuf. (At least it was downhill!)

Scenes of Châteauneuf:
At home, Janis and Lynn prepped the boeuf bourguignon and Lynn made bread pudding with whiskey sauce. I think it was the best I've ever made - the boeuf bourguignon, I mean. The tip about marinating the meat the night before may be the secret. We had a lovely, long, multi-course, French meal.

Good friends, good food, good wine, all made even better by adventuring in France.
