When Dave drops us off at the tourist office, we are overwhelmed by something in the air and all 3 start coughing. It's windy and we suspect the chaff blowing off the trees in the parking lot is carrying lots of pollen that is giving us all an allergic reaction. Once we move out of the area, we begin to recover. Strange.

What are the chances it will all work out? Pretty good as it turns out. We're a bit early and find a bench across from our restaurant overlooking the car park, which is full. At 1:20, Chris is waving out the window as they pull into the parking lot, just when a space has become available. 30 seconds later, Dave drives in from the opposite way and just then another parking space opens in the lot. By 1:30 we are seated in our restaurant, just as we planned it. There's lots of catching up to do, so I forget to take photos of our reunion and lunch.
Since the restaurant is next to the Maison du Vin, we stop there to taste (and buy) some wine. Katie and Clark, guess what we found there?

Home for aperos and dinner, again with no photos. Sorry folks, it's been a crazy day.
It does exist! was it any good?
ReplyDeleteWe had it for dinner last night and it was delicious. You would have loved it. Full bodied and well-rounded with just a bit of the oaky tannin and a fruity aftertaste. (Do you think I could make it as a wine critic? NOT)
